Join Pegasus Footwear and Merrell for a free event in the Hudson Valley as we celebrate the purest form of self-care: a nature hike.
Self-care is important for every single one of us. Most of us lead very busy lives that can lead
to high levels of stress and burnout. With the rapid rise of hustle culture, it’s crucial to find the time to unwind and take care of ourselves.
So, how do we achieve this balance? The industry of wellness has been commodified in recent memory, so it often seems like self-care is expensive. Luckily, it doesn’t have to be. The purest form of self-care has been and always will be getting outside!
Who remembers mother nature? Before there were oxygen bars, there was fresh air. Before
there were vitamin D supplements, there was sunlight. Before there were mud baths, there
was – you guessed it, mud!
Pegasus Footwear, a local Hudson Valley business, is teaming up with the outdoor brand
Merrell for a free hike in the newly developed Millbrook Preserve in New Paltz, NY. By
hosting this event, both brands are taking on the self-care industry by taking it outside!
This hike will take place on Saturday, March 26 th , at 10 AM – right in the early days of spring. We will meet at the Millbrook Preserve in New Paltz, NY, which is a few minutes away from the downtown area. The trailhead is right next to the Duzine Elementary School, which is located at 31 Sunset Ridge. Parking will be available at the school. When you arrive, look out for the Merrell table!
The Millbrook Preserve is a passion project of local volunteers who built it from the ground up over an extended period of time. Thanks to their hard work, a delicately crafted trail system now weaves throughout the entire park. See the below picture for a detailed map:
On this hike, we will tour the marshy waters and labyrinthine woodlands that make up the park. The hike will be 2 miles and at a conversational pace.
Don’t have the proper footwear to hike? Merrell will be bringing demo hiking boots for

At the conclusion of the hike, we’re hauling back over to Pegasus Footwear in downtown

card and other fun swag at this afterparty, so be sure to stay until the very end!
So, let’s get outside and have some fun! It’s been a long winter, so this event will be the
perfect way to start the spring on a good note. We hope that this hike reminds everyone that
self-care can happen anywhere outdoors.
