Everyone who lives or visits the backcountry of NY and NJ knows that these mountains, valleys, and forests are special and are meant to be protected and enjoyed by us, the stewards of the land! Join Merrell, Mappy Hour, and friends on Earth Day 2023 for a day of fun-filled adventure and activities!
The event occurs on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023 at the Mountain Creek Resort in Vernon Township, NJ. Our morning begins at 9am with a trail cleanup hike and run where participants can demo Merrell shoes on the trails. Models include the Moab 3, the Moab Speed, the Nova, the Antora, and more. Merrell will provide the necessary cleanup supplies, so all you must bring is yourself!
Afterwards, we will have workshops on survival skills, backpacking, rope-tying, and more! These activities are led by talented individuals from organizations such as Merrell, Mappy Hour, Urban Outdoor and Survival, and Ropes Rigging and Trees.
At this event, we will provide some complimentary snack and beverage options. There will also be opportunities to take home free eco-friendly swag. Additionally, we will raffle off a pair of shoes to one lucky person during the event!
All proceeds from the event will go directly to Leave No Trace. Leave No Trace is nonprofit organization that aims to preserve the natural world through volunteer work, research, and education. Visit their site to learn more: http://www.lnt.org
